An honest breakdown of typical tow truck pricing in the Inland Empire.
Towing prices vary based on a few real factors. Understanding those factors helps you spot a fair quote โ and a scam โ when you're stranded and stressed.
Three main things move the price: (1) distance โ how far the tow operator has to drive to you, plus how far your car is being towed; (2) vehicle type โ a Honda Civic and a Mercedes G-Wagon don't tow the same way; (3) whether special equipment is needed โ winch-outs, flatbeds for low-clearance cars, or recovery from off-road spots.
For a standard car or SUV getting picked up and taken across town within Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, or one of the nearby cities, expect a reasonable local-tow rate. Longer distances cost more on a per-mile basis.
If your car needs to be pulled out of a ditch, off a curb, out of soft dirt, or off a hillside, that takes more time and more equipment โ so expect an additional charge on top of the tow. We'll quote both pieces up front.
Junk car removal works differently. Depending on the vehicle's condition, year, and metal content, we may pay you, do it free, or charge a small fee for vehicles that aren't worth scrapping. We'll quote it before we show up.
Some tow companies double their rate at 2 AM. We don't. Our prices stay consistent around the clock โ middle of the night, weekends, holidays, all the same.
The single best protection against overpaying: insist on a real number before your car gets put on the truck. Any honest operator will give one.
